Role: Member of Technical Staff - Medical Research (Remote)

Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Member of Technical Staff, Medical Research to work on a full-time basis. The role involves designing and implementing computational methods to analyze medical data, developing algorithms for diagnostic and therapeutic applications, and contributing to peer-reviewed research publications in high-impact journals.


Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and validate machine learning models for medical imaging analysis and clinical decision support.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinicians, data scientists, and software engineers to translate research into scalable solutions.

• Publish findings in academic journals and present results at conferences to advance the state of medical research.

• Optimize algorithms for performance, accuracy, and computational efficiency on large-scale medical datasets.

• Contribute to the development of internal tools and frameworks that accelerate medical research workflows.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

• PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on medical applications.

• Proven expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling applied to medical data.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Julia, with experience in medical data processing libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).

• Experience with medical imaging data (e.g., MRI, CT, X-ray) and relevant toolkits (e.g., ITK, SimpleITK, MONAI).

• Strong publication record in peer-reviewed medical or AI research journals.

• Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., DICOM, HL7) and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).

• Ability to work in a fast-paced research environment with iterative development cycles.
