Medical Temporaries, Inc. has a position available for a Certified Medical Lab Technician - Urgent Care to work in Virginia Beach, VA.

Job Title: Certified Medical Lab Technician - Urgent Care
Requirements:

• Must be ASCP or NCA certified as a Medical Lab Technician
• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, or equivalent,
• Have the ability and experience doing phlebotomy,
• Have proof of CPR training,
• COVID vaccination is required.

Hours: Full Time - 3 weekdays a week, 9:30 am until the last patient is done, rotating weekends every other weekend.

Type: Temp or possible temp to hire

Start Date: ASAP

Hourly Pay Rate: $19.10-$23.88 per hour with differentials of an additional $2.50 for evenings, $4.00 for nights, and $1.50 for weekends.

Essential Duties:
• Ensures proper maintenance and operation of instrumentation.
• Exercises professional judgment in the performance of laboratory procedures.
• Provides patient care essential to laboratory procedures.
• Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and reports to the provider.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

Minimum education and experience requirements:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program that typically results in the acquisition of an associate's degree.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, chemistry, mathematics, hematology, and serology at a level normally acquired through completion of an accredited program (National Commission for Health Certifying Agencies) with a supervised clinical internship.
• Interpersonal skills are necessary to communicate effectively with physicians, nursing personnel, and other clinicians while exchanging information for routine inquiries and reporting laboratory results.

• Familiar with a variety of laboratory testing procedures to resolve technical problems.
