Primary Patient Population:
· Outpatient Setting (Multiple Locations)
* Different clinics will offer an opportunity to experience specific patient populations
Primary skills utilized/learned:
· Scheduling patients, obtaining pre-authorizations, registering patients, gathering/analyzing payor data
· Performing basic medical screenings
· Vital signs, specimen collection, bladder scan, EKGs, etc.
· Medication & Vaccination administration
· Wound care (suture/staple removal)
· Assist providers with sterile and non-sterile procedures
· Splinting and bandaging
Personnel Medical Assistant will work with:
· RNs, LPNs, Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Medical Doctors (MDs)

Required Qualifications:
· HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
· Meets one of the following:
· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for the American Heart Association (AHA) or obtains within 90 days of hire.
· Knowledge of basic medical procedures and medical terminology.
· Possesses critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
· Ability to work in a stressful environment and exercise sound judgment, as well as organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment with multiple providers.
· Basic computer and data entry skills.
· Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Demonstrates flexibility, initiative, and a strong work ethic.
· Successfully passes the Medical Assistant pre-employment screening written test with a score of 80% or better and the pre-employment screening skills test with a 75% or better score.
· All qualified applicants must pass the PSR pre-employment screening test with a score of 75% or better and the post-employment test with a score of 80% or better.
· Access to reliable transportation to travel to different sites within the Ambulatory Care Enterprise.
· Able to work in assigned area(s) and any other clinic based on operational needs.

Pay: $21.69 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
