Job Description:

T-Rex is seeking a Media and Content Manager to provide communications support services for JOMIS and its partner organizations and assist in maintaining JOMIS Web presence, including internet and intranet sites directly related to and supported by the JOMIS PMO while ensuring compliance with applicable DOD instructions and policies.

The PEO Defense Healthcare Management System (DHMS) is transforming the delivery of health care and advance data sharing through a modernized electronic health record for service members, veterans and their families. The Workforce 3.0 program within DHMS is a managed solution that leverages innovative new processes, methods, and best-in-class methodologies from the private sector to enable the entire PEO DHMS workforce to deliver world-class technology. The DHMS systems provide important health IT capabilities to 9.6 million active military, their families, and their beneficiaries. Responsibilities:

  • Provide support in updating the JOMIS PMO web content including developing and implementing a social media plan to support JOMIS’ communication goals and establishing metrics to measure success
  • Support the development of product manuals, SOPs, how-to-guides, help sections, social media posts, white papers, and other content that translates technical information with ease and clarity
  • Coordinate and collaborate with product managers, developers, SMEs, and other staff to obtain the information necessary to develop accurate communications
  • Support customizing communications to make maximum impact for the intended audience. Audiences that might be relevant for a communication include project staff, software developers and engineers, end users, executive stakeholders, medical professionals, auditors, regulators, and social media users
  • Leverage style guides and other materials to help ensure consistency in tone and message across communications
  • Experience with creating and maintaining social media properties
  • Participate in pre-publication review processes as both a submitter and, at other times, as a reviewer
  • Verify that official communications are captured and published to the correct locations prior to key milestones (e.g., releases)
  • Support project management milestone events by helping develop content for slide decks and other deliverables and by coordinating with relevant stakeholder groups on inputs and outcomes
  • Prepare briefing materials for executive stakeholders
  • Undertake multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines
  • Work independently as well as part of a larger team
  • Demonstrate strong research, analytical, writing and verbal communication skills

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Technical Writer, Communications Analyst, Journalist, or other relevant role
  • Demonstrated experience in the following areas:
    • Translating technical information for non-technical people with ease and clarity
    • Preparing briefing materials for executive stakeholders
    • Ability to undertake multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team
    • Strong research and analytical skills
    • Strong writing and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Experience at the Defense Health Agency 
  • Agile Certification(s)
  • PMP Certification
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certifications 
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Communications, Journalism, Information Technology, or another similar discipline
