Job Description:

The successful Mechanical Engineer incumbent will have the opportunity to join an international and growing company in the industrial automation and robotics sector. This position is part of the engineering team and is responsible for planning and designing our products correctly, on time and within budget. The position will also involve analyzing innovative solutions with high precision and reliability in compliance with the project guidelines. Great career growth opportunity!

Work Schedule: 7 AM – 4 PM or 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday through Friday; 1-hour unpaid meal break.

Work Location: onsite at our US headquarters in Glenville, NY.

Pay Range: $60,000-$85,000 per year based on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs and develops assembly drawings and generates bill of materials for parts.
  • Proposes, defines, and implements the most suitable design solutions to satisfy customer requests.
  • Follows the technical development of the products, interfacing according to needs and requests with suppliers and customers.
  • Engages in 3D design, computation, and modeling.
  • Validates the calculation methodologies.
  • Analyzes components.
  • Monitors projects to ensure that goals and customer expectations are met, and product is developed on schedule.
  • Participates in intercompany technical communication with US office and overseas offices.
  • Coordinates designs, requests, issues etc. with engineering departments in US office and overseas offices as needed.
  • Collaborates with production departments.
  • Ensure constant alignment and updating of design and production processes and quality standards.
  • Creates, updates, and manages technical documentation.

  • Constantly operates fabrication and related operations equipment.
  • Frequently moves material and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across and around work and project areas with or without assistance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of custom mechanical manufacturing engineering and design required.
  • Passion for designing and researching new solutions.
  • Customer-focused.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Well organized, analytical, and detail oriented.
  • Strong computer and MS Excel skills.
  • Self-starter; can work independently and in a team environment.
  • Maintains a respectful and professional demeanor when dealing with difficult situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor with results; develop people and build a team.
  • Ability to collaborate and foster teamwork; inspire and energize others
  • Familiar with Lean Manufacturing concepts/principles and the ISO 9001 certification process.
  • Knowledge of industrial robots, machinery, electronics, manufacturing and quality control preferred.
