Long Description

As a Content Coordinator and Copywriter for Flik Independent Schools Division (FISD) will interact with associates and teams at all levels of the organization to assist them in their communications goals and strategies. You will assess and respond to requests that are often time sensitive. You will be responsible for collecting and creating content to distribute across our corporate and executive social media accounts, as well as content creation and distribution for additional communications channels. This position is remote and may require some travel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports the goals and strategies of the FISD leadership team.
• Assists in developing, implementing, and measuring digital strategies including, but not limited to, social media.
• Copywrites and manages content across multiple platforms including social media, websites, client-facing documents, and industry conferences.
• Creates graphics and creative visuals for social media and other marketing needs.
• Collaborates with sector and division communications and marketing leaders to help achieve business goals across the company.
• Writing clear and error-free content that reflects our brand voice in a variety of media including but not limited to social, print, video, and online.
• Crafting responses that are consumer focused, keeping guest service and empathy at top-of-mind.
• Collaborating marketing teams to brainstorm and develop a variety of materials including templates, announcements, and press releases.
• Collaboration with various disciplines to develop and distribute weekly emails, organization announcements, and more.
• Liaise with sector leadership on public relations opportunities and creating supporting content as needed.
• Assists with drafting, editing, and proofing various department projects.
• Represent the marketing department with field activities and activations as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in communications with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Strong knowledge and understanding of technology, trends, and best practices in social media is required.
• Excellent writing and editorial skills (including AP Style knowledge), and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar.
• Prior experience in writing journals or blog articles.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Proficient computer skills including but not limited to the Microsoft Office Suite as well as design software, including the Adobe Suite and Canva.
