About Starwood Pet Travel

Starwood Pet Travel is a leading international pet relocation company focused on safety, transparency, and stress-reducing customer experience. The team partners with global carriers and vetted agents to deliver end‑to‑end relocations for companion animals.

Role Overview

This role is a hands-on manager (3–5 years experience) who plans and executes the editorial calendar, leads SEO initiatives, manages social distribution and email nurtures, and owns marketing reporting. Video is a first‑class channel: the role coordinates production of performance and organic video—briefs, scripts, shoots, and post—via external creators/editors and in-house resources. The podcast is one sub‑stream of this video program (hosted by an executive). PPC bidding/execution remains with an external agency; this role provides creative briefs, landing page requirements, and performance insights, and manages creative testing for Meta/YouTube/Reddit.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Content & SEO
  2. Build and maintain the content roadmap (pillar pages, route/country guides, supporting articles).

  3. Keyword research, intent mapping, briefs, on‑page optimization, internal linking; coordinate technical tickets.

  4. Maintain hub pages for priority trade lanes and compliance topics.

  5. Video Content & Creative Ops
  6. Plan quarterly video roadmap across organic and paid use‑cases; define hooks, scripts, shot lists, and storyboards.

Manage vendors/creators (UGC, editors, production houses); negotiate SOWs, timelines, and deliverables.

Own creative testing cadence with the paid buyer: 3–5 hook variants, cuts for 9:16/1:1/16:9, captioning, CTA variants.

  1. Maintain asset library, naming conventions, rights management, and brand‑safety/pet‑welfare compliance.

  2. Produce cut‑downs/shorts and coordinate thumbnails for YouTube/Meta/Reddit.

  3. Podcast
  4. Plan and coordinate recordings, oversee editing (hands‑on or via outsourced editor), publish show notes, and distribute.

  5. Repurpose episodes into shorts, blog recaps, email, and social threads.

  6. Lifecycle, Web & Social
  7. Build/optimize landing pages, lead magnets, forms, and simple A/B tests; enforce UTM hygiene.

  8. Manage newsletters and nurture sequences in HubSpot; maintain speed‑to‑lead alerts.

Operate LinkedIn, YouTube, and Meta calendars; community replies and moderation.

  1. Analytics & Reporting
  2. Own the monthly Marketing Scoreboard (GA4 + HubSpot + ad platform exports): acquisition, funnel conversion, pipeline created, CAC, ROAS/MER.

  3. Track creative testing results (e.g., hook hold %, 3‑sec view rate, CTR, cost/MQL deltas) and maintain a creative learning agenda.

  4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  5. Manage podcast editor, freelance designers/writers, and the PPC interfaces; deliver briefs and creative needs.

Required Qualifications

  1. 3–5 years in content‑ and video‑led growth for services lead‑gen (B2C or B2B2C). Proven non‑brand organic growth and content that converts.
  2. Hands‑on SEO: keyword research, on‑page optimization, internal linking; ability to brief and QA technical tickets.
  3. Experience running creative tests with a paid buyer/agency; can turn results into next‑round variants and clear insights.
  4. HubSpot Marketing (forms, UTMs, lists, email, simple workflows) and GA4 proficiency; able to assemble dashboards from exports (Looker Studio or spreadsheet).
  5. Strong copywriting; project management; vendor negotiation.
  6. Some video production management: pre‑production (briefs/scripts/storyboards), vendor coordination, post‑production QA; understands platform specs (Meta/YouTube/Reddit) and brand‑safety.

Tools: HubSpot Sales, HubSpot CMS, GA4, Excel/Sheets, Ahrefs/Semrush, Frame.io (or similar), Canva/Adobe, YouTube Studio, Airtable/Asana/ClickUp.

Nice-to-Have

  1. Review Basic HTML/CSS for landing tweaks; schema/FAQ markup familiarity.
  2. Review‑generation and reputation workflows.
  3. Hands‑on video editing (Descript, Premiere, Final Cut, Riverside for podcast, etc) — nice to have but not required; vendor/editor support available.

Compensation

  1. Base Salary: $65,000–$75,000 (DOE)
  2. Bonus: Up to 15% of base salary based on performance (e.g., increases in non‑brand/organic‑sourced MQLs and improvement in retail CAC).
  3. Benefits:
  4. 80% employer-paid bronze health insurance plan for the employee
  5. 80% employer-paid dental insurance plan for the employee
  6. 80% employer-paid vision insurance plan for the employee
  7. Monthly cell phone plan through T-Mobile (cell phone purchase is not included)
  8. Vacation reimbursements of up to $500 for each week of PTO taken (2 weeks max)
