The Ron Wood Family Resource Center is a non-profit organization founded in 1995 and is governed by a Board of Directors. The mission of the Center is to create a lasting community-wide cooperative effort between the private sector and governmental agencies to promote healthy family relationships through education and support services. RWFRC’s annual operating budget is approximately $2.5M+ and employs highly talented staff. The Center operates under Federal, State and local grants and offers a wide variety of programs and services including counseling center, WIC; various parenting classes; case management and referral; child safety seat project; youth emotional regulation workshops and substance abuse prevention education programs.
General Function:
The serves under the immediate supervision under the direction of the Executive Director. The Medical Billing Manager of the Center will be an organized professional with strong accounting background, fiscal accountability qualities and will have the ability to maintain the daily accounting data control practices and allocate expenditures utilizing various funding streams, grants and insurance providers for the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. – Expertise in receiving PARS – Prior Authorization Requests procedure from Medicaid and private insurance to bill for services provided by the Ron Wood Counseling Center. Expertise in ICD-9 and/or ICD-10 diagnosis codes and ability to meet deadlines. Interface daily with the Clinical Director to ensure billing and payments are reconciled in electronic database platforms. Properly code services, procedures, diagnoses, and treatments. Prepare and send invoices or claims for payment. Correct rejected claims. Track payments and follow up with patients and insurance companies about outstanding bills.
2. – Experienced in setting up and maintaining private insurance for the Center. Ability to work with fiscal manager to coordinate electronic payment accountability and process.
3. Expertise in Microsoft Office Software and Adobe Acrobat Pro, maintain filing systems, copying, collating, preparation of back-up documentation for a variety of grantors and other related duties as required.

Hours may be increased due to program enhancements and depending on incumbent.
$25.00 – $28.00 per hour
