Currently seeking a reliable Handyman / Maintenance Worker to assist with general repairs and projects. This position may perform machine repairs, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and minor electrical.

Essential Functions

• Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detects malfunctions. Assesses repairs needed.
• Travels from site to site, inspects facilities, buildings and grounds for routine maintenance, prioritize repairs and renovations.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance, to include but not be limited to replacement or repair fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast. Sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
• Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, etc.)
• Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work
• Reconfigures, installs, positions, and remounts modular offices and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks.
• Prepares the surfaces and paints various structures and equipment to preserve wood and metal parts from corrosion and maintain a safe, comfortable working environment.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• At least 2 years of experience as a handyman or maintenance required
• Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment preferred
• Experience with basic residential construction projects preferred
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems preferred
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Has a professional and positive demeanor
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving history
• Must satisfy criminal background check and drug test
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
