We are a job shop the caters to custom & low volume machining. As well as emergency repairs, rebuilds & remakes to service the manufacturing industry.

Job description: Full Time (M- Th: 6:00a – 3:30p Fri: 6:00a – 10a)

Looking for a Machinist to join our team to operate and maintain lathe and milling machines. Able to review drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production. Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task. Machinists are skilled individuals who use machine tools, such as lathes, mills, and various measuring instruments, to produce precision machined parts.

DUTIES

· Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines.

· Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.

· Take precise measurements during and after the machining process to ensure a quality product is produced. (Basic measuring tools: calipers, indicators, 0-6” mic should be supplied by employee)

· Selects appropriate machine and set-up in machine for a given task.

· Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.

· Program parts in Edgecam (Mastercam is acceptable) from start to finish of the production process.

· Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.

· Maintains a safe and clean workstation.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Adhering to all safety procedures.

Accountability, maintenance, and minor repairs for all issued equipment.

Performing additional tasks or duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLDEGE:

• Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
• Ability to read part prints and understand GD&T
• Strong knowledge of using indicators, micrometers, and other measuring tools
• Experience with various cutting tools, and speeds & feeds per the appropriate cutting tools
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
• Proficient in math
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school degree or equivalent
• Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred.
• 3 years in related field
• Knowledge of programming (Edgecam and/or Mastercam) is preferred.
