West Coast Imports, Inc. is a leading supplier in flashlights and sell to many of the top retail department stores worldwide. WCI is looking for a motivated and organized individual to fulfill this position, a position that comes with an immense amount of potential for growth. This position requires both being in the office as well as verifying efficiency in the warehouse to ensure a smooth system between our warehouse and our customers. This position is cross-trained to be able to have the understanding and capability of other departments as well as work with other departments to sustain and control the system in place.
Logistics Coordinator Previous Experience Required:
- 1+ years logistics experience
- 1+ years clerical experience within a warehouse setting
Job description and day to day tasks:
- Communicating quotes with a retailer's routing team
- Create Bill of Ladings, enter freight classes depending on item shipped, & coordinate shipments with freight companies or brokers.
- Routing orders to DC's
- Entering Purchase orders
- Communicating and giving orders to warehouse
- Communicating directly with customer regarding order-processing
- Efficiently entering product information, purchase orders, invoices & ensure all shipments are leaving at correct times.
- Processing Sales rep orders via speaking with the retailer or their support staff, this requires professionalism
- Checking orders physically and ensuring pallets are accurately shipped; working in warehouse
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, organized and the ability to take notes without
- Capable to work in a fast paced environment, able to work independently and as a team
