About the Role

HHAeXchange is looking for an experienced Lead Engineer to help build and improve Pavillio, the company’s next-generation home care management and caregiver platform. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, building modern software systems, and creating tools that positively impact caregivers and families.

You will work across both frontend and backend development using technologies such as Angular, Go, PostgreSQL, Redis, SQS, Kubernetes, and AI-powered tools. The company values a fast-moving and collaborative work environment where teams can quickly develop and improve ideas.

Essential Job Duties

  1. Lead the technical direction and development of important parts of the Pavillio platform
  2. Design and build new features and services across frontend and backend systems
  3. Improve system speed, reliability, and scalability
  4. Encourage innovation by exploring modern technologies and development methods
  5. Mentor software engineers and support a collaborative team culture
  6. Help define priorities, technical solutions, and project approaches
  7. Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and goals
  8. Review code and provide feedback to maintain high-quality development standards
  9. Write and maintain unit and integration tests
  10. Improve CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments
  11. Monitor and optimize frontend and backend performance

Travel Requirements

  1. Travel may be required 5–10% of the time, including overnight trips within the US and internationally

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, and Skills

  1. 8+ years of experience in software engineering
  2. Strong backend development experience with Go, PostgreSQL, Redis, SQS, and observability tools
  3. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools
  4. Experience building and delivering SaaS applications in cloud environments such as AWS
  5. Understanding of microservices and serverless architectures
  6. Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  8. Ability to work independently and stay organized
  9. Interest in responsibly using AI tools to improve productivity and innovation

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this full-time US-based position is $165,000–$175,000 per year, excluding additional compensation. Final salary depends on factors such as experience, education, skills, location, and alignment with company values.
