Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine and complex molecular testing, in accordance with SOPs.
2. Prepare specimens for testing and analysis using various laboratory equipment and instruments.
3. Review, record and release specimen test results.
4. Compile and maintain records to ensure state and federal regulations are upheld for all reagents, procedures, and equipment used in the testing process.
5. Ensure adherence to safety and procedural guidelines.
6. Assist in the development, validation, and implementation of new laboratory methods/services.
7. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues.
8. Cross-train in other teams as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific area, such as molecular biology, genetics, etc.
2. Detail oriented, organized, flexible and independent
3. Good time management and multi-tasking skills
4. Experience with pipette handling
5. Experience with automated liquid handlers would be a plus
6. Good oral and written communications skills, critical thinking
7. Able to work at least one weekend shift per week

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
