About the Role

GeniusXLab is seeking a motivated Junior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our engineering team.

This role is designed for an early-career developer who wants to strengthen their technical skills while contributing to practical software projects. You will work with senior engineers and team members to develop application features, build APIs, resolve technical issues, write automated tests, and participate in established software development processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end features using React, Vue, Angular, or a similar framework.
• Build and maintain back-end services and RESTful APIs using Node.js, .NET, Java, Python, or a related technology.
• Write clear, readable, maintainable, and well-organized code.
• Convert product requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Investigate software issues and implement appropriate fixes.
• Write, run, and maintain automated tests.
• Use Git and GitHub-based development workflows.
• Participate in standups, planning sessions, retrospectives, and code reviews.
• Communicate project progress, questions, blockers, and technical updates clearly.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, internal teams, and client stakeholders.
• Complete assigned tasks in accordance with project requirements and timelines.
• Learn new tools, frameworks, technologies, and codebases as required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and software quality.

Required Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of at least one front-end framework, such as React, Vue, Angular, or a similar technology.
• Foundational knowledge of at least one back-end technology, such as Node.js, .NET, Java, Python, or a similar technology.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and client-server architecture.
• Knowledge of programming fundamentals, including data structures, debugging, and error handling.
• Familiarity with Git and version control.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment.
• Interest in continuous learning and professional development.
• Ability to receive feedback and apply it to improve technical performance.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with any of the following is helpful but not required:

• TypeScript.
• Relational databases and SQL.
• PostgreSQL, MySQL, or another database system.
• Docker and containerized development.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• CI/CD pipelines.

Work Authorization

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
