We're Looking For

Are you a Junior Software Engineer who enjoys working in small teams, finding solutions to a variety of business challenges where your input will make a difference? Are you skilled in JavaScript, API design, NoSQL and front-end web-based development tools? Are you someone who has the desire and proven ability to learn more languages and skills needed to get things done?

We are searching for a talented Junior Software Engineer to join the LaneLink software engineering team and be on the front lines of developing solutions and products in the automotive remarketing industry. The right candidate is someone who can be handed critical projects and help shape future processes and best practices. The purpose of this candidate is to play an integral role in a team responsible for the architecture, design, development, testing and delivery for our rapidly expanding business.

The Junior Software Engineer is responsible for participating in analysis and development efforts in cooperation with other members of the project team including other Developers, Programmer Analysts, Business Analysts, Project Leads, Project Managers, Architects, DBAs and Quality Assurance Analysts. The responsibilities include: analyzing, developing, maintaining, documenting, and unit testing software applications.

You Will

1. Participate in the maintenance and development of new features for our core products
2. Fix bugs and improve existing code
3. Help to triage, diagnose, and solve production system software problems
4. Participate in the development of new components and systems
5. Participate in iterative development of solutions based on acceptance criteria and designs
6. Participate in code reviews, planning and estimation meetings
7. Test solutions and troubleshoot issues
8. Participate in cross-discipline collaboration with team members including the product owners, designers, and testers
9. 
   

Who You Will Work With

1. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will collaborate with the development team, Business Analysts, Project Leads, Project Managers, Architects.
2. You will also interact with UX designers to ensure a seamless user experience.
3. Additionally, you may have exposure to stakeholders from other departments, such as QA, DevOps, and data engineering.

Must Haves

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field involving coding.
2. Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
3. Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages.
4. Highly organized, proactive and self-motivated.

Nice To Haves

1. Experience with NodeJS and other JavaScript frameworks a plus
2. Understanding of Service API development, REST/JSON
3. Knowledge and practice of Object-Oriented Design patterns and principles.
4. Experience working with MySQL a plus
5. Familiarity with Automation Testing (Unit, Integration, Functional)
6. Understanding of Agile software delivery processes

Compensation Range Of

Annual Salary: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00
