Responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of the Production team. Strong people skills, organization skills and ability to multi-task in a fast paced office environment. Personal integrity and a strong work ethic are also at the very top of our list. This is an in person, hands-on job working out of our Hartford office, while supporting Hartford Business Journal. The Jr Graphic Designer will report directly to the Production Director

- Create visually appealing web and print ads.

- Work on marketing flyers for the sales department

- Design page layout mockups for newspaper marketing

- Design multi-page advertising supplements

- Design event marketing advertisements

Requirements:

- Must be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Google products, ex: Google Sheets

- The desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative and creative working environment

- Part-time, in office position

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
