In immediate need of a junior accountant interested in working in forensic accounting (business, estate/trust, family litigation). Initial job duties will include gathering, organizing, entering, and analyzing financial information from various sources (bank accounts, financial statements, tax returns, etc.). Longer term prospects include participation in all aspects of forensic accounting including meeting with/interviewing clients and attorneys, drafting reports, creating financial presentations, and attendance at/participation in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings. Depending upon your interest, additional opportunities in other public accounting areas (tax/advisory/audit) are available.
Prior experience preferred, but not required for otherwise qualified candidates.
Familiarity with Quickbooks or other accounting software preferred, but not required. Competence with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel) mandatory.
A bachelor's degree in accounting (or similar field) is required; but a master's degree and/or credentialing in forensic accounting (or related areas) is strongly preferred.
CPA licensure preferred, but not required - this position will provide the experience necessary to meet NJ CPA requirements.
