The Junior Cloud Engineer supports the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure and services. This role assists in managing cloud environments, monitoring system performance, and ensuring reliability, security, and scalability of cloud solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in deploying, configuring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and services
- Support monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of cloud environments
- Help manage cloud resources, including compute, storage, networking, and access controls
- Assist with implementing security best practices, backups, and disaster recovery procedures
- Support infrastructure automation using scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Assist in managing cloud costs, usage tracking, and optimization efforts
- Work with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and integrations
- Maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures
- Stay up to date with cloud technologies, tools, and best practices
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0–2 years of experience in cloud computing, systems administration, or IT support
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals, operating systems, and virtualization
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell)
