Duties

1. Develop compelling and accurate written content in Japanese across multiple platforms and formats
2. Proofread and edit drafts to ensure grammatical correctness, style consistency, and factual accuracy
3. Conduct thorough research to support content accuracy and depth
4. Fact-check information to maintain credibility and reliability of materials
5. Collaborate with editors, designers, and subject matter experts to refine content
6. Apply appropriate style guides such as AP Style or Chicago Manual of Style depending on project requirements
7. Write creative pieces as well as technical documents, proposals, and reports
8. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
9. Utilize word processing tools effectively for drafting and editing documents

Skills

1. Proven proficiency in Japanese writing with excellent editing and proofreading skills
2. Strong command of writing styles including AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, and technical writing standards
3. Exceptional research abilities with attention to detail for fact-checking purposes
4. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders
5. Experience in journalism, copywriting, proposal writing, or creative writing preferred
