- Responsible for assisting in product design and development, creating marketing assets, and other administrative duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
- Assists Design Manager in creation of products from concept to production.
- Designs instructional material for products.
- Coordinates proofing for new products before production.
- Facilitates communication with outside designers where applicable.
- Creates marketing assets for new products, including spreadsheets and images.
- Provides marketing assets to team members and vendors as needed.
- Updates old products as needed.
- Updates and maintains file libraries for third-party vendors.
- Drafts and files author contracts when applicable.
- Requests W9 forms from outside designers when applicable.
- Submits copyrights and send book samples to the U.S. Copyright Office.
- Compiles pattern and product information for vendors.
- Makes supplemental inserts for retail products.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pass background check and drug test
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Must be highly organized and able to keep accurate records
- Acute attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with both verbal and written communication skills
- Able to adapt priorities in fast-paced environment
- Advanced ability to perform basic mathematical problem solving, including:
- Division, multiplication, addition, subtraction,
- Computation of percentages, averages, weighted averages
- General understanding of geometry
- High proficiency with Microsoft PC environment and internet browsers
- Moderate proficiency with the following computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign
- Low to moderate proficiency with Adobe Photoshop preferred
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.
- The employee must be able to climb ladders and stairs to access inventory.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
- The use of Personal Protective Equipment is required per the Safety Manual.
