Job Description:

Citizens is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Analyst to join the Mergers & Acquisitions (“M&A”) division of our Capital Markets & Advisory team (“CM&A”). This Analyst is based in our Atlanta office and support Managing Directors, Directors, Vice Presidents and Associates as they develop and pitch/market new ideas to help corporate clients and financial sponsors achieve their financial and strategic objectives.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Participate in all phases of the transaction cycle from pitch to close
  • Prepare pitch materials and update decks for client meetings
  • Prepare detailed transaction marketing materials including confidential information memoranda and management presentations
  • Perform extensive financial modeling and valuation analysis
  • Manage diligence workstreams including populating and managing virtual data rooms
  • Directly liaise with our client’s C Suite and senior management in preparing marketing materials and responding to diligence requests
  • Conduct comprehensive company and industry research, and developing and maintaining thorough industry thought pieces and analyses for presentation to clients
  • Analyze financial model outputs and client information to formulate and present conclusions for discussion purposes

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • 1-2 yrs years of direct experience with proven client interaction and Investment Banking, or Capital Markets experience; will look at strong accounting backgrounds (2-4 years) with Big 4 accounting firms.
  • Attendance in a formal investment or corporate banking training program preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to function as part of a flat organization, manage several projects at once and work effectively as an individual and as part of a multiple teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to express ideas in a persuasive, organized, and articulate manner.
  • Ability to follow-up independently and consistently.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis with a solid understanding of financial statements, financial modeling and company or industry analysis.
  • Self-starting team player who can think strategically and excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, challenging work environment.
  • High degree of maturity and integrity with a positive and hardworking attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Full command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with related financial services software including S&P CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, Pitchbook, etc.

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40 +
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
