Throughout the year, Hilco Corporate Finance offers 3-month and 6-month internship opportunities in our Chicago and New York City offices. The internship is an excellent opportunity to work alongside investment bankers in a stimulating environment on M&A, Capital Advisory, and Special Situation/Restructuring assignments across a broad range of industries.

As an intern, you would have the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job training. You will get similar levels of exposure as a first-year analyst, assisting in the preparation of materials for clients and conducting market, industry, and company analyses. You also will gain experience in financial modeling, valuation analyses, and supporting due diligence processes.

Our interns typically work up to 30 hours/week, but we can customize your work schedule to fit your other responsibilities. This internship opportunity will be based either in our Chicago or New York City office. Although we expect our professionals to work from our offices the majority of the time, this position should be considered “hybrid” and we are flexible regarding work location.

Qualifications:

• You must either be an undergraduate in your final year of study, or studying for a Masters, and still be in full-time education throughout your internship.
• Previous internship experience in an investment banking firm, financial advisory firm, or turnaround/restructuring advisory firm.
• Strong academic track record that includes accounting, finance, and/or economics coursework.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, problem solving, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated maturity, integrity, and the ability to perform in an entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player.
• A demonstrated interest in investment banking advisory services.

Compensation:

If required, the salary range(s) are displayed below and are specifically for those potential hires who will perform work in or reside in the location(s) listed, if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. MBA), for example.
