POSITION SUMMARY:
The Interpublic Group of Companies is looking for an undergraduate student to join for a 10-12 week full-time summer internship with the purpose to assist the Global Business Intelligence (BI) team in the development of BI solutions which will include the writing of queries and reports, researching technology and prototypes

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assisting the BI team in the development of BI solution, including analysis, design and query/report development
Assist in in the documentation of requirements and testing of solutions as needed
Research and identification of best applicable tools/solutions for BI Mobility and other BI reporting tools.
Understand clients’ objectives and work closely with the BI Project Manager to plan for a successful execution
Contribute to the preparation of deliverables (proposals, reports, presentations) to ensure they meet clients’ business

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must have completed junior year at an accredited four year college/university
IT background experience preferred
General understanding of the software development lifecycle
Computer proficiency in writing SQL Queries and developing reports either using a custom programming language
or application such as MS owerBI/Business Objects
Very analytical thinking and able to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment
