Job Summary

The Interior Project Designer will serve as an integral member of Envision group Space Transformation & Innovation team. They will assist in leading interior environmental & foodservice design on all assigned projects, including but not limited to experiential space design, interior space planning / furniture strategies, client presentation, and design impact data gathering. This position will reports to VP of Design, and works closely with the Envision Group team and its Strategic design partners. Responsibilities

  • Lead spatial design projects encompassing all phases, from conceptual design to construction documentation, ensuring client needs and project expectations are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and strategic design partners to develop and lead design charrettes, fostering strong ideation and creativity.
  • Ensure design and documentation adhere to project specifications, Compass Standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement a design measurement process, incorporating surveys and focus groups to continuously refine and enhance design strategies.
  • Create effective design presentations, building long-lasting client relationships through compelling visual storytelling.
  • Manage, analyze, and communicate design information, case studies, and innovations that drive business performance for the enterprise.
  • Provide guidance and direction to other designers and external partners.
  • Demonstrate effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills, engaging with clients and team members collaboratively.
  • Utilize expertise in specialty retail categories such as food service, restaurant, pop-up, and experiential design to deliver exceptional results.
  • Leverage advanced graphic and verbal presentation skills, including hand sketching and 3D rendering, to communicate design concepts effectively.
  • Create state-of-the-art renderings and visualizations, utilizing advanced CG techniques and architectural visualization tools, to present design concepts in a compelling and photorealistic manner.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related Design field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of design experience, with a focus on restaurant design, hospitality design, and brand development.
  • Proficiency in Architectural & Design Process, building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of Interior Design Fixtures, Innovative Materials, Custom Millwork Fabrication, Equipment manufacturing & distribution, and general FF&E practices.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PPT, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, VRay, Enscape, and other 3D modeling software.
  • Experience with Project Management software.
  • Proven ability to thrive under pressure, managing multiple tasks, projects, and teams to exceed sector and client expectations.
  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills, demonstrating a high level of communication, technical prowess, and creativity.
  • Willingness to travel 20% - 30% of the time to meet with clients and operators.
  • LEED accreditation & NCIDQ certification is a plus but not required.
