Medium level work in a variety of information technology disciplines within the office of Information Technology. Through instruction and rotational work shifts, seminars and team projects, acquires familiarity with the information technology systems, hardware, procedures and protocols for a variety of computing environments. Work assignments become progressively difficult, designed to lead to a functional assignment in areas such as client services, LAN/WAN networking, wireless, information security, Wyse thin-client, server virtualization, secure remote access, application support, project management, information technology procurement or other information technology related disciplines. Participates in correspondences or dialogue with Nyack Hospital’s vendors. Covers Data Center for scheduled times and other shifts when required by the hospital. Some travel required to remote satellite offices for hardware/software installation and troubleshooting. Assures that all computers and associated equipment in the Data Center are operational and performs related Data Center duties as required. Interfaces with the Network Manager or Director of Technology on day-to-day operations, issues and new projects.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Network Systems (preferably) or equivalent education/experience. Between 1-2 years experience with Windows 2012/2016,2019and Active Directory services. Extensive experience with HP servers, Cisco Network Infrastructure, PC hardware, Wyse Thin-client, workstations, VMware Server/VDI, software applications and associated network and hospital peripherals. PC A+, Windows 2012/2016,2019, Mac OS, Cisco CCNA or CCNP, VMware VCP. Ability to relate well to all types of people and acts in a supportive and positive manner.
