Job Description:

Serving as a spirited contributor to our bustling Manhattan-based HR team, the HR Associate assists our recruitment, onboarding and operations' teams in the hiring and processing of new employees into our HRIS system, bringing an attention to detail and conscientiousness to each task to ensure accuracy and efficiency. and a more enriching work-life experience. Aligned with regional and Corporate HR teams, the HR Associate generates and manages HRIS employee profiles, provides new hires with welcome packets, and helps to create a positive orientation for new hires to our Arrow NYC security team.

Performing with a cross-departmental approach, the HR Associate fosters best practices with HR department policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal and DOS regulations and is committed to the respect and integrity of our Arrow mission to provide an exceptional new hire and employee experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Completes hiring process in an expedited manner, ensuring accuracy and completeness of each hire.
  • Enters each new hire into HRIS to create the employee profile.
  • Partners with Operational leaders to address transfers (to new roles) and ensure proper documentation and HRIS system is updated accordingly.
  • May be responsible for reference and background checking for candidates
  • Provide new hire engagement package to new hires

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years prior experience in an HR capacity, focused on high-volume hiring and/or onboarding
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Management desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • Working knowledge of federal and state HR laws and regulations
  • Core NYC Union knowledge
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills combined with sound judgment
  • Customer service focus for internal customers
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to partner with various departments to effectively meet
