The Hospitality & Marketing Manager will be highly talented at balancing the delivery of an exceptional guest experience while maintaining a strong focus on winery marketing and executing event logistics. As part of the winery management team, the manager will be responsible for managing functions in creative and proactive ways and providing support and leadership to the tasting room staff to ensure a high standard of service.
Responsibilities:
Marketing
- Plan, execute and deliver marketing initiatives to support the growth of the winery, our programs & wines through appropriate channels (digital, print, event, etc.)
- Manage social media & newsletter creation, posting and metrics.
- Lead strategic initiatives to drive new customers, wine club members, events.
- Create and execute of guest facing materials–menus, promos, signage, etc.
- Manage and keep up-to-date Bonobo website and presence on partner sites.
- Respond to feedback and reviews, in a timely and professional manner.
- Explore new, innovative, creative opportunities for creating a buzz and evolving the brand.
Events
- Manage the execution of private and winery directed events and programs such as wine club dinners, charitable events, wine education, etc.
- Oversee onsite events and manage pre, during and post event activities including event checklists, staffing, set up, breakdown, service, etc.
- Work with Event Manager on event preparation and planning documents
- Support the Event Manager with pre planning logistics and communication as needed.
Tasting Room
- Manage day-to-day operations of the tasting room, including opening and/or closing duties, overseeing staff, and guest activity.
- Provide excellent and professional customer service to guests, including answering questions about wines, making recommendations, and processing sales in a fast paced environment.
- Manage the scheduling, planning and execution of winery experiences
- Promote and educate staff and guests on all Bonobo Winery programs including private events and wine club
- Maintain a clean and organized tasting room environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or hospitality
- 2+ years of experience in the retail, sales or hospitality industry
- Proven experience in marketing, SEO, digital & social with a strong focus on multichannel marketing.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and comfortable with content marketing, and copywriting.
- Knowledge of performance marketing, e-commerce, and marketing automation tools.
- Experience with WordPress, HTML, and Meta Advertising is a plus.
- Exceptional organization, time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Motivated & versatile self starter who is OK with wearing many hats and being team player
- Flexibility in 40 hour week makeup–available weekdays, weekends and holidays
- A passion for wine & learning is a bonus.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted without causing injury to self.
- Must be willing and able to stoop, bend, and stand for 8-hour periods.
