The RN Director of Emergency Services will join a tight-knit, rural 100-bed community hospital.  This facility is fully accredited through the Joint Commission and has received Golden Seals of approval for their hip and knee replacement programs. They are also accredited by the Commission on Cancer and recently completed a hospital expansion to include a brand new Health and Wellness center and a state of the art Medical Pavilion, the likes of which are normally found only in large metropolitan cities- all in rural Ohio!

The Emergency Services Nurse Director will report to the VP/ CNO.  The Director will collaborate with Unit Coordinators, Physicians, and other healthcare providers and will be accountable for the smooth operations of the Emergency Department. 

The RN Director will lead an Emergency Department with 30,000 annual visits and 18 private treatment rooms.  The Director will oversee a family-like unit of nurse colleagues who have advanced training in cardiac care, pediatric care, and trauma care, and a majority has advanced training in neonatal care.

The ideal Nurse Director of Emergency Services will ensure the effective operation of the Emergency Department and will ideally have prior Director experience especially with analytics, budget, key quality metrics, and physician relations.  This individual will lead development of department policies and establish unit educational goals.  The RN Director will also develop strategic planning for the unit to contribute to overall hospital goals and be a general and trusted leader for the department. 

Candidate Qualifications

• BSN Required (or in process)
• CURRENT ER DIRECTORS will earn immediate interviews!
• Management in Acute Care Emergency Services preferred
• 3 years experience in Emergency Services preferred
