Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Help Desk Technician to join our team in Purcellville, VA. This position requires a dedicated professional with 2-3 years of experience in resolving a wide range of user issues across Windows and Mac environments, Office365, and network troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide frontline technical support to end-users onsite.
  • Resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software applications within Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Office365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, VPN problems, and basic network configuration.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware and software as required.
  • Respond to service tickets promptly, documenting all steps taken and resolutions achieved.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and escalate complex issues to appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory and software licenses.
  • Assist in user training on basic IT functions and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Help Desk Technician or similar role, ideally 2-3 years in a corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and Mac OS environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Office365 applications and administration.
  • Solid understanding of basic networking concepts and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Certification in relevant IT disciplines (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field preferred.
