Job Description:

We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Head of Patient Growth to lead our efforts in acquiring patients into our clinical model. This role will own the end-to-end patient acquisition funnel—from awareness and lead generation through onboarding, conversion, and retention—and play a key role in shaping how we scale access to care.

The ideal candidate is both analytical and creative, comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, and passionate about improving patient experience and access. Additionally, they have experience with clinical outreach, list based outreach, and online advertising. This person has a lean towards conversion and knows how to optimize each part of the funnel to improve admissions rates over time.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Own the Growth Strategy: Define and execute patient acquisition and admissions roadmap, aligning with revenue and impact goals.
  2. Funnel Optimization: Develop and optimize the full patient funnel, including list based acquisition, clinical outreach to hospitals, case manager referrals, and all other relevant channels.
  3. SEM/SEO Leadership: Develop and lead all targeted online acquisition channels from start to finish.
  4. Data & Analytics: Track and understand conversion rates across all major acquisition funnels.
  5. Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Operations, and Clinical leaders to ensure a seamless and high-quality patient journey.
  6. Operational Support: Support the acquisition process all the way through clinical admissions into Flourish. This means competently supporting and operationalizing the family experience from first point of contact all the way through to appropriate admissions, while ensuring safe patient care along the way.
  7. New Market Launches: Work with the leadership team to ensure new states and new contracts are launched effectively.
  8. Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing growth team, including clinical admissions and patient acquisition.

Ultimately, this role is responsible for company growth while ensuring safe patient care throughout the patient journey. We work with high acuity teens, often at risk for home disruption. You must have a collaborative nature in order to fully understand qualifying criteria and safe patient care, detailed by the clinical leadership. This must always be top of mind while prioritizing your time around optimizing list based acquisition efforts, building, managing and supporting a clinical outreach team, and launching all SEO/SEM efforts. In addition, this person must be able to support the complex operation of ensuring access in a supply constrained environment, partnering with clinical operations and programming to ensure appropriate assessments of all kids, and growing health plan relationships with effective data tracking and new state launch.

Most importantly, to be successful in this role, one must have a deep understanding of the problem we are working to solve and a willingness to jump into complex family situations in a moment’s notice with extreme empathy.

Role Specific Expectations:

Patient Acquisition: You are responsible for all company KPI’s related to patient acquisition. This currently includes growing admissions by 15% MoM and ensuring access to care within 7 days for as many kids as possible.

Enforcing Safe Patient Care: You are responsible for supporting safe patient care, led by the clinical leadership, from the moment a family talks to a Flourish team member all the way to full admission into clinical care.

Data Analysis: You are responsible for funnel by funnel data tracking and partnering with the head of product to always ensure you know the performance of every list and referral partner.

New Contract Implementation: You are responsible for collaborating with the leadership team to ensure effective implementation of all new health plan contracts and state launches.

Supply/Demand Optimization: You will collaborate with the c-suite to support supply/demand optimization, specifically helping to forecast future patient growth.

Cross Functional Collaboration: You will collaborate with the VP of product and the VP of Clinical R&D to strategize and prioritize all important levers to ensuring the company grows effectively.
