Description:

Synergy BIS is seeking dynamic, innovative, Graphics Specialist to directly support proposal efforts across the company. As a key member of the growth team, this person will work with the Synergy business development, capture, and proposal teams to translate critical concepts into impactful, compelling, and compliant images to support our continued growth efforts. Additional responsibilities include providing graphic support to technical articles and case study write ups for Synergy’s website. The ideal candidate must be able to elicit important details of bid strategy, organizing constructs, and operational activities from both technical and non-technical staff to distill meaningful concepts into graphics used for effective storytelling and proposal scoring.

Essential Functions & Duties:

  1. Support graphic design projects through all phases of the opportunity capture and proposal development process.
  2. Work collaboratively with proposal contributors and technologists to ideate and develop impactful conceptual graphics for briefings and proposals
  3. Develop visuals for value propositions, concept of operations, workforce management, and other key solution concepts for capture and proposal efforts.
  4. Ensure timely delivery of compliant and compelling graphic designs, including proposal responses and marketing materials.
  5. Interact routinely with all levels of Synergy management, project POCs, staff, and customers, and follow through on tasking.
  6. Create and edit design and documentation templates to be brand-consistent and easy to digest
  7. Design and/or adapt and execute graphics and diagrams in Adobe Illustrator and PowerPoint.
  8. Research and obtain stock graphics as needed for use in graphics creation
  9. Manage and update existing graphics repository

Skills, Qualifications and Certifications of Best Candidates:

  1. 3+ years of experience in Graphic Design, communication design, or a related field.
  2. Proven ability to synthesize complex themes and technical concepts into compelling graphics
  3. Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
  4. Desirable: Knowledgeable in WordPress, HTML, CSS

Citizenship or Work Authorization Required:

  1. Authorized to work in the US.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  1. 5+ years of experience.
  2. 2+ years of experience developing proposal graphics primarily targeting federal government.
  3. Knowledge of an industry-leading proposal process (e.g., Shipley Associates).
  4. BA or BS in Graphic Arts, Web Design, Fine Arts, or Communications Arts, or Certificate/Associates degree in Graphic Design, or equivalent experience and/or certifications in lieu of education.

Compensation for roles at Synergy varies depending on a wide variety of factors including but not limited to the requirements of the role; education and certifications; knowledge, training, skills and abilities; level of experience; geographic location; and alignment with market data, law, and other business and organizational needs. As required by local law, the posted pay range represents the lowest to the highest pay that Synergy believes in good faith it might pay for this particular job, depending on the circumstances. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $85,000 $105,000

Essential Job Function Physical Requirements: The physical requirements of this position are critical in evaluating the qualifications and abilities of an applicant or employee. The physical efforts needed to perform the essential duties of this job 90% of the time are repetitive motions, grasping, holding, and finger dexterity of the hands, reading, writing, eye-hand coordination, color distinction, and full visual abilities, hearing, talking, sitting, and use of IT equipment, phones, and office machines.
