Responsibilities

The General Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of varying ages and needs. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing comprehensive and periodic dental examinations
  • Diagnosing dental conditions and developing appropriate treatment plans
  • Providing restorative dentistry, including fillings, crowns, bridges, and other procedures
  • Performing routine and surgical extractions within the dentist's scope and comfort level
  • Providing preventive and emergency dental care
  • Reviewing and interpreting dental X-rays and other diagnostic information
  • Educating patients regarding treatment options, oral health, and preventive care
  • Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Working collaboratively with dental hygienists, assistants, administrative staff, and specialists
  • Following all applicable infection-control, OSHA, HIPAA, and professional standards
  • Referring patients to specialists when appropriate
  • Delivering an excellent patient experience with professionalism, empathy, and clear communication

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
  • Current and unrestricted dental license in [State]
  • Current DEA registration, if required for the position
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Professional liability coverage as required
  • Strong diagnostic and treatment-planning skills
  • Excellent clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills
