Our products are created from scratch at our woodshop, just one mile north of our retail gallery and working studio on Main Street in Harbor Springs.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are hiring a part-time, seasonal in person Gallery & Studio Assistant at our downtown location to:

• greet customers and offer detailed information about our products
• efficiently process custom orders and handle credit card transactions using a Shopify POS system
• assemble laser cut, 3D wooden maps in the studio space and frame maps to order
• meticulously package orders for transportation or arrange shipping as needed
• manage inventory, including restocking products and maintaining accurate records
• prioritize the cleanliness and organization of both the gallery and studio space
• actively contribute to marketing efforts, social media outreach, content creation and event planning
• participate in product development discussions and assist in implementing growth strategies
• uphold Lake Art's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction

ABOUT YOU

The Gallery & Studio Assistant is technology literate, spreadsheet proficient and is an efficient problem solver with great communication and customer service skills. Working knowledge of major social media platforms is required as well as confidence managing retail foot traffic at a busy Main Street location. Passion for art and appreciation of quality craftsmanship is a must. Previous experience in a retail store or gallery is preferred.

SCHEDULE

10:30 am - 4:30 pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday at INGRAIN

10:30 am - 4:30 pm Thursdays at Lake Art
