Senior Gallery Associate wanted for a prestigious American fine-art gallery in downtown Manhattan. In this role, you will provide support to the owner, assisting with arranging meetings, travel, client relations, sales, research, managing multiple projects and acting as a true right hand to the owner. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of administrative support experience, a BA in Art, Art History and/or Arts Administration, superior communication skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and a thorough working knowledge of the history of American contemporary art (preferably).

The successful candidate has an innate professionalism, works with initiative, remains calm under pressure and is an excellent team member. Flexibility, collegiality, and the ability to accept feedback are essential qualities for success in our small team. Additional requirements include: discretion, a collaborative spirit, and an empathetic, positive attitude. This Gallery Assistant will be a crucial member of the team and will work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Compensation is DOE and growth is offered!
