They are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing development team focused on distributed microservices, data management, and security platforms. What You’ll Do
- Lead multiple technology initiatives and oversee a team of skilled developers to deliver scalable, reliable, and resilient software solutions across data and security domains.
- Design and guide the development of cloud-native systems built on microservices architecture, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
- Write, review, and maintain high-quality code while promoting engineering best practices and technical excellence.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies, drive innovation, and foster a culture of continuous learning and experimentation within your team.
- Act as a technical mentor and thought leader, helping engineers refine their skills and deliver top-quality solutions.
- Partner closely with product managers and architects to align business needs with technical execution and architecture strategy.
- Participate in design and architecture discussions, guiding teams through critical technology choices and implementation strategies.
- Leverage modern programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, Node.js, or Rust, along with databases (RDBMS and NoSQL) and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Utilize cloud services and tools (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to deploy and manage highly available applications.
- Champion a well-managed engineering culture focused on code quality, collaboration, resilience, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 4+ years of experience managing or leading engineering teams.
- 1+ year of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- 9+ years of hands-on experience in one or more languages: Java, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Rust.
- 4+ years of experience working with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience working with open-source frameworks and cloud-native architectures.
- 7+ years of leadership or people management experience.
- Strong background in Agile methodologies and team collaboration practices.
