Ministry Full Stack Developer

Pre-Born! – Indianapolis, IN (on-site)

Scope: We are seeking a Christ-loving, process-minded level 1 software engineer to support the Senior Software Engineer in developing and maintaining various software to further the life-saving mission of Pre-Born!. You will have the opportunity to start from scratch on some projects and enhance existing technologies on others.

You should be comfortable working on both back end and front end to bring projects to completion, and open to expanding your expertise through continued education and internal lunch-and-learns.

Qualifications:

1. Personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
2. Agreement with, and adherence to, Pre-Born!’s Statement of Faith and Code of Christian Conduct.
3. 100% pro-life.
4. Willingness to intercede before God for the ministry of Pre-Born!.
5. 5-7 years' Experience as a Full Stack Developer
6. Solid tech stack including front end + back end + databases languages (HTML, CSS and JavaScript)
7. Experience with Vue, React (or similar), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Python, PHP, Node.js, Git, SVN
8. Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
9. Excellent communication and teamwork skills

4. Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field

Duties:

1. Design client-side and server-side architecture
2. Build front-end application to be responsive, SPA as needed
3. Build REST routes for front end and server to sever
4. Build database for the needs of the requested project
5. Refactor existing code as needed to keep up to date and bug fixes
6. Work with Marketing team to content and visual changes
7. Analyze what solution is needed for a given request or issue. Innovate when possible
8. Create a brief or proposal for large projects
9. Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
10. Write efficient APIs
11. Write tests and use a test-driven development approach
12. Test software and peer reviews
13. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
14. Commit all code to Git and use branches
15. Create security and data protection settings
16. Write technical documentation
