Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Proven experience in full charge bookkeeping or related role
- Proficiency in QBO and other accounting software
- Strong understanding of general ledger reconciliation
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Prior experience in technical accounting is a plus

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper/Controller to join our team and oversee and manage our financial operations.
Job Description:
Overview: The Bookkeeper/Controller will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the company, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and maintaining financial integrity. This role requires a highly organized individual with a strong background in accounting, preferably within the eCommerce or consumer goods sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Oversee all company accounts and investments.
- Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts for growth and profitability.
- Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
- Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.
- Create system of company valuation to stay on track for eventual sale
- Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
- Perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.
- Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors as needed, and filing financial reports.
- Prepare all Company books for handoff to CPA for tax filing
- Advise management on needed actions.
- Prepare and assist with audits.
- Sales Channel Management:
- Oversee financial operations across all sales channels, including Amazon, international distributors, Walmart, and Target.
- Reconcile sales reports with accounting records, ensure all local and state taxes are being collected and paid.
- Ensure proper financial tracking and reporting for each sales channel.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory accounting.
- Conduct regular reconciliations between physical inventory and accounting records.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the operations and sales teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the management team.
- Other skills
- Help with credit card and related credit card points and usage
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role within an eCommerce or consumer goods company.
- Familiarity with multiple sales channels, including Amazon, Walmart, Target, and international distributors.
- Experience with inventory management and reconciliation.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, TaxJar etc) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Projects
Create and update Personal Financial Books, investments and pay bills
Construction, Inc- books upkeep and pay bills, help with billing, invoicing and cost accounting for each project.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
