About the Role

We're seeking a Front End Engineer or a Fullstack Engineer who leans more towards user interface development to help design and develop complex web applications. You'll help build the user interface for mission-critical systems that serve defense and logistics operations across mobile and desktop platforms. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in early-stage environments and want to own the technical foundation of impactful AI-powered products.

Responsibilities

1. Implement a Typescript/Javascript based Web framework such as React, Vue, or Angular on top of a Ruby on Rails application with PostgreSQL databases
2. Develop reactive web applications optimized for mobile and desktop usage
3. Leverage RESTful APIs to interact with backend servicesImplement authentication, authorization, and security best practices
4. Optimize application performance and offline capabilities
5. Work closely with product and design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
6. Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards
7. Build tools that support military readiness and logistics operations
8. Ensure applications meet security and compliance requirements
9. Integrate with DoD systems and secure data pipelines

Requirements

1. 3-10 (+/- ) years of experience in full-stack or specifically front-end development (React, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Python, or Go preferred).
2. Familiarity with frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, Tailwind).
3. Comfort working in fast-moving, early-stage environments.
4. Due to the nature of our work, qualified candidates must be US Citizens.

Nice to Haves

1. Understanding of RMF compliance, FedRAMP, or NIST 800-53 security standards.
2. Ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance.Prior work with DoD systems or military logistics/training software. (e.g., SSO, DoD CAC integration, OAuth2, x509).
3. Experience with project mapping tools (e.g., task hierarchy engines, Gantt timelines) and project management-type tools; experience with Geospatial Information Systems is also a plus.
4. Knowledge of military doctrine, niche data, and mission sets, or working with military SMEs.

Compensation

1. Salary ($110,000-$160,000) + Equity
2. Salary is determined by the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
