We are seeking a Front-End Developer - E-CommerceDigital Experience to help build, optimize, and continuously elevate our customer-facing e-commerce storefront and digital brand touchpoints . In this role, you will work closely with our Technical Lead, product and e-commerce stakeholders, UI/UX designers, marketers, and engineering partners to translate business requirements and design concepts into fast, responsive, accessible, and maintainable web interfaces . A primary focus of this position will be front-end engineering for our enterprise e-commerce platform on Adobe Commerce (Magento 2.4+), along with supporting digital campaign experiences, landing pages, and marketing integrations across our broader web ecosystem . We are seeking a developer who pairs strong front-end software engineering fundamentals with a practical understanding of user experience, interaction design, accessibility (WCAG), and e-commerce conversion optimization . While direct Adobe Commerce / Magento frontend experience is a strong advantage, we warmly welcome applications from modern front-end developers with strong JavaScript, Tailwind CSS/utility styling, and component-based UI experience who are eager to build high-performance e-commerce experiences. This is primarily a software engineering role . While formal UX research or dedicated visual design creation is not required, the ideal candidate is design-literate, comfortable interpreting Figma design systems, proactive in identifying usability friction, and thoughtful in technical execution .
Responsibilities
- Front-End EngineeringStorefront Development
- Develop, test, and maintain responsive, customer-facing interfaces for our enterprise e-commerce platform and digital web applications .
- Translate approved Figma designs, wireframes, prototypes, and user stories into clean, modular, and high-performance production code .
- Build and extend storefront themes, layout structures (layout.xml), and reusable template components (.phtml / modern component libraries) .
- Implement and optimize critical shopping journeys: product discovery, faceted search/filtering, product detail pages (PDP), interactive pricing tables, shopping cart, customer accounts, and checkout workflows .
- Build front-end features that interface seamlessly with backend services, GraphQL, and RESTful APIs .
- Architect client-side state handling to respect Full-Page Cache (Fastly/Varnish) rules by isolating private customer data (e.g., dynamic carts, authentication states, custom contract pricing) into asynchronous client-side requests .
- Maintain clean, modular, well-documented, and testable front-end code while participating actively in code reviews and sprint delivery .
- UI/UXDesign System Implementation
- Apply sound user interface and interaction design principles across all customer touchpoints .
- Maintain and expand our shared UI design system and reusable component library to ensure visual and behavioral consistency across typography, spacing, navigation, and form elements .
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and marketing stakeholders during design reviews to provide early technical feedback on feasibility, responsiveness, and performance .
- Ensure consistent presentation and seamless behavioral fidelity across modern browsers, viewports, operating systems, and device form factors .
- Identify usability bottlenecks and propose pragmatic micro-interactions and layout refinements to streamline checkout and lead capture .
- Performance, AccessibilityWeb Standards
- Champion front-end web performance as a non-negotiable architectural priority, continuously optimizing for Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) .
- Optimize front-end asset pipelines: bundle sizes, critical CSS, asynchronous JavaScript execution, responsive image rendering, and modern font delivery .
- Ensure all digital interfaces adhere to modern web accessibility standards, targeting WCAG 2.1 AA compliance through semantic HTML5, valid ARIA roles, keyboard navigation, and visible focus management .
- Conduct regular cross-browser, responsive device, and accessibility audits to identify and remediate UX regressions .
- Digital MarketingMarTech Integration
- Collaborate with digital marketing and demand generation teams to build, style, and launch high-converting landing pages and promotional campaign templates .
- Implement and maintain structured front-end event tracking, Google Tag Manager (GTM) data layers, and analytics telemetry to measure engagement and conversion funnels .
- Embed and style marketing automation assets (such as HubSpot forms, lead flows, and tracking scripts) while mitigating any adverse impact on page load speed .
- Implement technical SEO best practices, including semantic markup, clean DOM hierarchy, and schema.org structured data (JSON-LD) .
Agile CollaborationTeamwork
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives .
- Partner closely with the Technical Lead to align front-end components with backend service contracts, deployment hooks, and architectural standards .
- Provide realistic effort estimates, identify project dependencies early, and communicate technical tradeoffs transparently .
- AI-Assisted Front-End Development
- We view AI-assisted development tools as a valuable accelerator in modern engineering workflows . We encourage developers to leverage AI thoughtfully to enhance productivity, code quality, and delivery speed .
Practical applications include:
- Generating responsive layout boilerplate, Tailwind utility classes, and accessible markup patterns .
- Generating cross-browser unit and end-to-end test cases .
- Accelerating troubleshooting for complex CSS bugs, responsive quirks, and browser incompatibilities .
- Drafting documentation and summarizing component properties .
- We value engineers who use these tools with sound judgment, maintaining strict human review over visual fidelity, accessibility standards, code maintainability, and data security .
What We're Looking For
- You will be an outstanding fit for this role if you:
- Care equally about how an interface looks, how it performs under load, and how intuitive it feels to real customers .
- Think systematically in reusable, scalable components rather than disconnected, one-off templates .
- Notice design discrepancies, accessibility barriers, and performance bottlenecks before they
