Position Summary: The Front End Web Developer plays a crucial role in creating engaging and visually appealing websites, landing pages, and digital products as well as implementing those designs through front-end development. This role works closely with our UX, marketing, and product development teams to support all product lines at Leaf Home, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop visually compelling and user-friendly websites for Leaf Home's product lines.
2. Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
3. Implement web designs into functional and responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
4. Independently manage and prioritize multiple projects.
5. Understand web best practices to maximize page speed efficiency, export assets at minimum sizes, and troubleshoot page load errors.
6. Work closely with the marketing team to translate branding and marketing requirements into design concepts.
7. Collaborate with content creators, designers, and stakeholders to deliver engaging experiences to drive marketing goals.
8. Analyze web traffic using A/B testing and web analytics to find areas of growth and opportunity.
9. Regularly ideate, implement, and measure results for landing pages to optimize for brand KPIs.
10. Support qualitative research efforts such as usability testing.
11. Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
12. Continue to grow skillset to include emerging technologies/industry trends, applying those trends to everyday work.
13. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Experience and Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
2. 1+ years of experience in web design and front-end development.
3. 1+ years of professional web development experience.
4. Must possess a portfolio with design examples.
5. Proficiency in CMS management, preferably with WordPress websites.
6. Working-level experience with PHP, JavaScript, and HTML programming languages.
7. Strong understanding of web design principles and UI/UX best practices.
8. Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
9. Proficient in working with page builders such as Unbounce, Elementor, Leadpages, Wix, or similar equivalents.
10. Expert in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
11. Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate design ideas and development concepts clearly.
12. Working knowledge of CSS.
13. Proficient in cross-browser compatibility, website performance, and delivery.
14. Experience in building and maintaining responsive web designs.
15. Familiarity and understanding of SEO (search engine optimization).
16. Familiarity with digital accessibility best practices.
17. Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without “dropping the ball.”
18. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a “roll up your sleeves” and “win every day” mentality.
19. Hold oneself accountable and responsible while being self-driven in accomplishing goals.
20. Detail-oriented and can focus on the task at hand by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.
21. Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels to communicate with internal and external stakeholders articulately.
22. Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors in work, and solve complex problems.
23. Ability to provide timely and empathetic service through all communication channels keeping peer and customer needs first.
24. Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Certifications:

1. Deep understanding of modern, trending, and high-performing web design.
2. Deep understanding of digital marketing and customer journey best practices.
3. Experience designing in Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent software.
4. Proficiency in using project management software such as Asana, Wrike, Monday.com, etc.

2. Performs indoor work in a climate-controlled environment.
