We are hiring a Senior Front-End Developer to join a high-performing, fully remote engineering team building advanced Magento 2 and Adobe Commerce storefronts. This is a hands-on, senior-level role for someone who thrives on technical ownership, performance optimization, and modern PWA development. If you are deeply experienced with React, Venia PWA Studio, and Adobe Commerce integrations, and you actively use AI to improve your development workflow, this opportunity is built for you.

You will play a critical role in shaping complex e-commerce experiences that are fast, scalable, and user-friendly across mobile, tablet, and desktop. Beyond writing excellent code, you will mentor developers, influence architecture decisions, and help elevate engineering standards across the team.

What You Will Do

Web Application Storefront Development and Integration

1. Design and implement reusable, responsive React components within the Venia PWA Studio framework
2. Integrate storefront functionality with Magento 2 and Adobe Commerce backends using
3. GraphQL and REST endpoints
4. Optimize API and GraphQL calls, reduce payload sizes, and improve rendering performance
5. Build modular components aligned with business and UX requirements
6. Make high-level technical decisions and provide strategic input on projects
7. Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce engineering best practices

UI and UX Implementation and Optimization

1. Translate designs into high-quality, accessible user interfaces across all devices
2. Ensure cross-browser compatibility and consistent performance
3. Optimize frontend performance using tools such as Lighthouse and Chrome DevTools
4. Implement intuitive features that enhance usability and engagement
5. Validate accessibility compliance and implement tracking, monitoring, and robust error handling
6. Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance issues at the system level

Venia Component Development

1. Develop and extend Venia PWA components tailored to evolving business needs
2. Integrate components with Adobe Commerce Page Builder and third-party modules
3. Ensure scalability and maintainability to support long-term growth
4. Adapt components to work efficiently with Magento modules and extensions

Testing, Quality, and Engineering Standards

1. Write clean, maintainable, well-structured code aligned with industry standards
2. Participate in peer code reviews and collaborate closely with QA teams
3. Test thoroughly across Linux, Windows, and mobile environments
4. Implement unit testing and perform manual validation to maintain stability and reliability

Collaboration and Leadership

1. Partner with developers, designers, and project managers to align on delivery
2. Share knowledge, best practices, and technical insights across the team
3. Mentor junior and mid-level developers
4. Document solutions, improvements, and innovations
5. Promote a culture of continuous improvement

AI Is a Hard Requirement

This team expects senior engineers to actively integrate AI into their development workflows. This includes building AI-powered workflows, prompt engineering for code generation, logging and tooling integrations, chatbots, automation solutions, and rapid prototyping. If AI is not already part of how you build, optimize, and ship code, this role will not be the right fit.

What You Bring

Experience and Background

1. 5+ years of experience as a React.js frontend developer in complex web applications
2. 5+ years working with PWA and Adobe Venia PWA
3. Strong experience integrating external systems and web services
4. High school or vocational education minimum

Technical Expertise

Must Have

1. Advanced expertise in JavaScript ES6+ and React.js
2. Deep understanding of React performance optimization
3. Strong command of HTML, XML, CSS, and JavaScript
4. Solid experience with Git, branching strategies, merging, and conflict resolution

Good to Have

1. Experience with Jest or React Testing Library
2. Knowledge of Redis, sessions, and caching strategies
3. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment practice
4. Understanding of service workers and PWA architecture
5. Experience with scalable architectures and micro frontends
6. Strong leadership and communication skills

Certifications

1. Adobe Commerce Professional certification required, or willingness to obtain within 6 months
2. Expert-level certification strongly preferred

Language

Advanced English proficiency, written and spoken
