At LeadPoint Digital, we are currently looking for a front-end developer to join our growing office in downtown Roanoke! An ideal candidate would be extremely detail-oriented with a high aptitude for website user experience and coding languages. Their main goal would be to execute and evolve our clients’ websites while working directly with our creative team and project manager.

Responsibilities

1. Build responsive WordPress websites from Figma designs using our modern development framework.
2. Develop custom blocks, templates, and page layouts within WordPress.
3. Maintain and improve existing client websites, handling ongoing tasks and feature requests.
4. Ensure websites meet standards for security, performance, accessibility, and SEO.
5. Communicate progress on projects to the team and flag blockers early.· Contribute to improving internal development processes and documentation.· Collaborate with the marketing team to support client goals through website improvements.
6. Communicate progress and status of tasks with the Account Managers.
7. Perform other tasks as needed.
8. Coordinate and consult with Digital Marketing Specialists, Writers, Designers, and Developers.
9. Continuously evolve knowledge of online user behavior, digital marketing, and client industries.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
3. Experience building websites on WordPress.
4. Comfortable working with Git for version control.
5. Ability to take a Figma design and build it into a functional, responsive website.
6. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
7. Detail-oriented and process-driven.
8. Clear communicator and collaborative team member.
9. 2+ years of WordPress development experience.
10. Familiarity with PHP in a WordPress context (theme development, template logic, plugin customization).
11. Awareness of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.
12. Experience with Shopify.
13. Experience with WordPress plugin development.
