Job Title: Front-End Developer

Location:Remote (Must reside in the Continental U.S.)

Clearance Requirement: U.S. Citizenship; VA Public Trust (preferred or obtainable)

Job Type:Full-Time

Target Salary Range*: $75,000 - $120,000.

*This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level, years of experience and/or certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary

Position Overview:

The Amatriot Group is seeking a Front-End Developer to support the modernization of benefits claims processing systems for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This is a long-term, fully remote position supporting a high-impact federal mission to improve Veterans’ access to their records through a centralized application redesign.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Redesign and implement UI components for a centralized VA records processing application
  2. Develop and maintain user interfaces using Angular and React frameworks
  3. Ensure application responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility in accordance with Section 508 compliance standards
  4. Collaborate with back-end developers, designers, and product owners in an Agile team setting
  5. Contribute to UI/UX enhancements with a focus on usability, consistency, and performance
  6. Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups
  7. Support integration with APIs and Python-based back-end systems
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve front-end bugs, performance bottlenecks, and user experience issues

Qualifications:

  1. U.S. Citizen; ability to obtain and maintain VA Public Trust clearance
  2. Minimum 5 years of front-end development experience, particularly in federal or enterprise environments
  3. Strong hands-on experience with both Angular and React
  4. Proficiency in JavaScriptHTML, and CSS
  5. Familiarity with Python in a front-end/backend collaborative setting
  6. Experience with 508 compliance and accessible design best practices
  7. Proven track record working in Agile/Scrum environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience supporting federal agencies, ideally the Department of Veterans Affairs
  2. Familiarity with Figma or Adobe XD for UI mockups
  3. Experience developing front-end applications that consume RESTful APIs
  4. Knowledge of DevSecOps environments and CI/CD pipelines
  5. Previous involvement in large-scale legacy system modernizations
