ZAVIENTA is expanding its editorial roster for September runway coverage across New York and select international fashion weeks.

We are seeking discerning fashion writers with the critical fluency to interpret a collection beyond its immediate visual impact—writers who can identify the references, tensions, silhouettes and creative decisions shaping fashion’s next direction.

Coverage may include:

Runway reviews and collection analysis

Designer presentations and Fashion Week dispatches

Emerging fashion and accessory movements

Street style and front-row analysis

Designer profiles and interviews

Post-show features and seasonal reports

Writers may be commissioned to report remotely using official collection notes, designer press materials, authorized visual assets and licensed editorial imagery. Select on-location assignments may be considered separately. Credentials, invitations and physical access are not guaranteed.

We are interested in writers who demonstrate:

A sophisticated understanding of fashion history, design and contemporary culture

A distinct critical perspective supported by precise observation

The ability to place collections within a wider creative and cultural context

Clean, authoritative prose free from generic trend language

Strong reporting judgment and rigorous attention to accuracy

The ability to deliver polished work within accelerated editorial timelines

Previous experience covering fashion, runway, luxury, accessories or culture is preferred. Established bylines are welcome; exceptional editorial judgment and compelling published work will be considered with equal seriousness.

This is a freelance, assignment-based opportunity. Compensation will be determined according to experience, assignment scope and turnaround requirements.
