Attack of the Fanboy began as a destination for video game guides, reviews, and hands-on impressions. Now, we are expanding coverage toward entertainment and our editorial team is looking for talented writers who eat, sleep, and breathe movies and TV fandom. The selected candidates will join AOTF's entertainment initiative on the ground floor and help shape the website's identity for many years to come.

Applicants can expect to write about the latest superhero movies across the MCU and DC, the most popular content on streaming services, and the latest conversations in anime like Chainsaw Man . Types of stories include breakout news, guides, SEO topics, and Top 10 listicles. Above all else, we're seeking knowledgeable writers with confident voices expressed in their writing, especially in opinionated reviews and features. One of AOTF's greatest strengths is our group's enthusiasm and passion for what we do, so expect to come in ready to shape AOTF's Entertainment brand! 

Responsibilities:

• Produce a consistent number of articles each week. Our minimum monthly requirement is 25 posts but there is no cap on how much you can write
• Identify trending IP and develop pitches with editors
• Be open to feedback and collaboration with the editorial team. Candidates who respond well to constructive criticism and editor feedback are highly preferred

Expectations:

• Responds well to urgent deadlines and priority assignments
• Strong research skills with a pulse on fandom communities
• A penchant for self-editing and a strong grasp of the English language
• Eager and willing to cover stories you aren't necessarily interested in
• A passion for the entertainment industry, and the content AotF produces

Rates: $10 to $50 per post, depending on length and depth of content. AOTF freelancers are paid on a per-article basis, and most articles average in the $20 range. 

How to apply:

Submit a resume, a short cover letter, and at least two relevant writing clips. Your cover letter should reflect a deep knowledge of fandom entertainment alongside an understanding of writing within this industry. A cover letter and clips are required to be considered.
