Sundance is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Freelance Copywriter to support our team. Sundance is a leading omnichannel specialty retailer with headquarters located in Salt Lake City, UT. Founded in 1969 by Robert Redford, Sundance is a unique brand that supports artistic endeavors and focuses on creativity, originality, and inspiration.

Summary

As a Freelance Copywriter, you will be responsible for writing the product copy on an item-by-item basis. This job will include writing product copy per product information sheets, proofreading, and entering information into the internal system. You must be proactive, can work on multiple projects at once, and have fashion and home product writing experience. This is a freelance opportunity, project by project. The copywriter submits an invoice for work and the terms are Net 30.

Candidates MUST be local to Utah as you may occasionally be required to come onsite for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Write product copy per product information sheet provided
• Work within scheduled timelines
• Attend product turnover meetings (either in person or via zoom)
• Proofread catalogs and other items as needed
• Assist with copy assets online only
• Proactively participate and collaborate to meet Sundance’s business goals
• Keep copy style guides updated

Qualifications

• Degree in English preferred
• One year of related experience (writing samples must be submitted with resume)
• Ability to handle stress and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Detail-Oriented and highly organized
