This is a Founding Engineer role, not a traditional salaried employee role. Compensation is Equity-Only for now. Once the app launches and generates revenue, we plan to implement a profit-sharing model so the people who helped build it share in that success.

My name is Brandon. I am the founder of Sølsk, a new kind of dating app being built for a Dallas launch.

I have no investors, no big budget, and no formal coding background.

But...

1. I already built the front-end prototype myself with AI tools.
2. We already have a CTO in place with deep senior iOS experience leading technical direction.
3. The app is fully planned. User flows, launch path, technical strategy, schematics, and Linear projects are already mapped out in detail.
4. We are already marketing the app and building public-facing momentum around it.

This means you would not be joining a messy early-stage startup where nobody knows what the product is yet. We already know what we are building. Now we need another strong engineer to help us build it faster.

I am looking for a builder. Someone experienced, adaptable, fast, and willing to put in real hours right now. Someone who can take a clear plan, follow it, and ship.

The role

This is a founding engineer role working directly with our CTO.

He owns technical direction, architecture, and code review.

You would come in as an execution-focused engineer helping us turn the current product plan into a real, App Store-ready app. That means taking scoped product areas and shipping them cleanly and quickly.

To be very clear: this is not a role where you will be asked to invent the product from scratch.

The product, flows, systems, and implementation path are already defined.

What you would be doing

1. Building iOS product features in SwiftUI under an existing technical lead
2. Taking ownership of scoped product areas and shipping them fast
3. Following documented specs, schematics, and Linear task structures instead of trying to reinvent the product
4. Working on launch-critical systems like onboarding, feed, profiles, comments, notifications, purchases, settings, and related infrastructure
5. Integrating with services like Firebase, Stripe Identity, and RevenueCat
6. Using AI tools pragmatically to move faster, not to create messy code that someone else has to clean up later
7. Collaborating with me on product execution and with our CTO on implementation and quality

1. Senior-level or very strong mid-level iOS engineer
2. You are fast in Swift and SwiftUI
3. You can adapt quickly to an existing codebase, product plan, and technical direction
4. You are comfortable entering a project where the product is already mapped and the work is execution-heavy
5. You care about shipping, polish, and stability
6. You are comfortable using AI tools to accelerate your workflow
7. You can commit serious hours right now

Bonus points if you also have experience with:

1. App Store submission and review process
2. Mobile payments / subscriptions
3. Authentication and third-party SDK integrations
4. Media upload flows
5. Push notifications
6. Managed backend platforms like Supabase or Firebase
