Role Description

This is a full-time founding engineer role for an on-site position in Palo Alto, CA. The engineer will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop, design and enhance the core technology platform for Rumi Technologies. The engineer will develop software codes, perform testing, and troubleshoot and debug code issues. The engineer will also work on software designs, project documentation, and tech stack recommendations.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in software development, object-oriented programming, and coding in javascript and/or Java
• Solid understanding of database technologies such as SQL, javascript libraries, and cloud services
• Excellent knowledge of software engineering principles and algorithms
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience with GitLab or similar version control system
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence is a bonus
• Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
• Passionate about the mission to implement Classroom AI Policy
