Key Responsibilities:

• 🥇 Formulation and Testing: Develop and test functional ingredient systems for tortillas and other baked goods as requested by sales, customers, and management.
• 🧪 Laboratory Evaluations: Produce tortilla samples on lab scale production equipment and perform quality testing of finished samples.
• 📝 Technical Reporting: Write technical reports, interpret results, make recommendations, and present findings cross-functionally.
• 🛠️ Technical Support: Provide expert troubleshooting support to customers, working directly with the sales team.
• 📚 Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with developments in the tortilla industry and constantly seek new opportunities.

Candidate Profile:

• Educational Background: BS or MS in Food or Bakery Science.
• Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in developing formulas for tortillas or bakery products.
• Personal Attributes: Resourceful problem solver, strong analytical and decision-making skills, effective communicator, and excellent time management skills.
• Additional Requirements: Knowledge of baking ingredients, ability to translate innovative concepts into feasible products, and bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Be able to travel up to 25%.
