Campus Statement


Phoenix College (PC), the first public junior college in Arizona, welcomed its first students on September 13, 1920. In 1962, PC transitioned to a community college that is part of the Maricopa Community College District. Job Summary


The Athletic department is looking for individuals to assist with various duties such as game management, concessions, website and other support roles in the department. This position consists of several functions. The FWS- Student will assist with Office and Athletic Department duties, game management, filming streaming, graphic design for social media and website. Game management - ticket taker, concessions, set up /break down for event.



Additional Information

  1. Student must be attending Phoenix College during the current semester (enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits).
  2. In order to qualify for a Federal Work-Study (FWS) job, a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be on file for the current award year and have eligible financial needs based on the college requirements. Please contact the Office of Financial Aid for more information prior to applying to a Federal Work-Study job.
  3. FWS is a need-based, federally funded program.
  4. FWS requires the completion of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and confirmation of federal work-study eligibility as determined by the financial aid office.
  5. FWS does not directly pay for tuition, and funds are only available to eligible students attending a minimum of six (6) degree applicable hours in a federal student aid eligible program.
  6. The FWS award amount is based on your FAFSA results and college funding availability, which will determine the number of hours available to work while supporting the students academic goals.

  1. Ability to maintain a courteous, friendly mannerism when working with students and staff.
  2. Demonstrates good customer service skills.
  3. Ability to multi task while maintaining attention to detail
  4. Ability to work effectively with individuals from various backgrounds
  5. Ability to keep a work schedule and present yourself in a professional manner
  6. Hard working and dependable
  7. Some computer knowledge and cash handling experience
